Pretty good for a new guy.

I'll tell you, for only being here for 8 days??

Pretty damn good. Here's a suggestion......

Listen to my stuff... then go on the internet and search for VSTs and Samples. You have the sequencing part down, as well as some awesome ideas. just keep it going.

Gave you a 3/5 and an 8/10... to keep you working harder to get your 5.

I hear some preset loops in there.... also watch out for your snare... its a little.... off. its playing too late. Also, very distorted sounds over very distorted sounds make it sound like a meat grinder... dunno if that's what you're looking for.

your kick needs MORE. sounds like you went a DnB way to play... but would have been better with a techno pounder. Google search "free samples *** " where the ** is equal to what you're looking for (kicks, hi hats ect ect.)

Pretty low rating for me... sorry, BUT at least it was in the right time signature, so you've got one up on some of the other artists lol.

Good news, bad news.

I know why it got Zeroed... this isn't really a genre of music that people go on newgrounds to look for. So you're fighting against the masses....

I shall review the song as it should be reviewed though... without bias.

Its not half bad... slow with a piano. Chip tones make it seem a bit interesting. I like the chorus you have in the background, although i wish you had some other sound for your piano, its kinda bland and does not fill the song with what I think I should be feeling. Odd selection of features if I do say so myself.... some kind of organish accordion thingy.... can't really explain it. In anycase... It was good for what it was, tons of room for improvement though, keep that in mind.

When you say you wish I had some other sound for the piano, I'm not sure if you mean in terms of the general tone, or in terms of the melody I was playing o.O

I believe the "organish accordion thingy" you're referring to is: I used the synth trumpet from Guitarpro, made a backwards version of the melody I wanted, put it in Audacity, flipped in backwards so that it sounded correct, then did the same thing an octave higher and put them together.

Its really good. Nice effects in the beginning.

My issues are...... because I have to be an ass of a critic.......
1) Fix the snare a bit... JUST a bit.. maybe not so SUBBY.
2) That saw is just horrid for me! Makes me shudder.....
3) Good job on the melody that you added in at 1:23, but maybe vary it a bit more and keep it a little more to you, and less similar to the song... also, try to mess with the sound, and try not to use the "Square" sytrus preset... (Forgot name)
[OR no presets for that matter... the songs sound much better if you at least tinker with the defaults...

Thanks for listening to my criticism, and also maybe listen to my song... it's not really a remix of the song.. but I used the lyrics in it, so I had to name it that I guess.

Melody is good. Just work on timing.

I Hated the piano you used... I would love for you to go on Google and look for a Soundfont of "Steinway Grand Piano" Get it... Tweak it. Love it.. and play.

I have no clue if that's FL Keys.... but what ever it is I despise.

That piano i used is a 2.5 GIG vst. i just ran it through filters and stuff to make it sound a bit cool. i like it. thanks for the revie review :]

Plain and 'Not' So Simple.

See... I'm giving you a 10/10 5/5 because of this...

1. It brings the nostalgic feeling to NG, this sort of song is like playing a PS1 Game with a PS2 Kind of sound to it... I love it.

2. Reminds me of Legend of Dragoon. Don't know why... If you don't know what LoD is, Google it... It's an amazing PS1 game.

3. The sounds.. The sounds... The sounds.... You used so many, orchestrated, plucky, synthy, bassy things that made the experiance so much better! If I were to make an RPG... I would gladly have you make most of the music to it... ESPECIALLY the town BGM's... I would call this town Thalenguard (Without the victory thing at the beginning of course).

4. If you have ever played Arc the Lad: Twilight of the Spirits... you'd know why I like this so much...

All in all, Great mother-effing godly job. I would love to call you a god among music composition... but I am not allowed to do so, as it would degrade many people on NG, Including myself. Keep up the good work... I have my eye on you.
